Wedding Cakes. Here we are midway through the summer and the wedding cakes are really keeping me busy! Summer weddings are really popular and this year we seem to be having some beautiful weather to fullfil the hopes of lots of couples. This cake was a recent cake designed exclusively for one bride and groom. There were two flavours, rich fruit cake and vanilla with strawberry jam and buttercream, all dairy free this time. The feedback after the wedding was lovely:

As with all my wedding cakes a full bespoke design was created at a personal consultation and cake tasting several months before the wedding. The time taken at this meeting is invaluable in giving the couples ordering my cakes a relaxed environment, where all of their ideas can be expressed and discussed while I draw up a design that they are completely happy with. They also get to taste lots of delicious cake including the standard vanilla, chocolate, lemon, rich fruit and also the other interesting options like red velvet, carrot cake, coffee & walnut and the very popular salted caramel.
I usually suggest this consultation takes place 6-9 months before the wedding but to avoid dissappointment we can start a dialogue about your cake as soon as your venue/date is confrmed.
